Redmi Note 5 India launch is scheduled for February 14 and the company may bring big surprises for fans in India. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will be the successor of the hit Redmi Note 4 and will look a bit different than the Redmi 5 Plus which was announced in China at the end of last year.
While the event is scheduled for Feb. 14, a lot of details about the Redmi Note 5 has already been leaked online.
The Redmi Note 5 comes with the new 18:9 aspect ratio and bezel-less design. It will have a 5.99-inch fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) display in a body that is roughly the same as that of its predecessor. The device features a vertically-aligned dual camera setup and a rear-facing fingerprint scanner and it will be powered by the Snapdragon 636 64-bit octa-core processor.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is expected to come with 4GB of RAM, and two different variants will be available, one with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, and the other with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The handset will also pack a 4,100mAh non-removable battery. The device is reported come with 16-megapixel primary camera sensor and 5-megapixel secondary camera sensor.
In addition, the Redmi Note 5 will have an 8-megapixel front camera sensor with 1080p video recording. It will come with pre-installed Android Nougat or Android Oreo with Xiaomi’s MIUI 9 build.
The company will announce the pricing details of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 for India at the launch event but according to a leak, the starting price will be at CNY 1,499 (roughly Rs. 15,400).
