Space embraces first opulent hotel named as ‘Aurora Station’, which will be opened after next four years, as the startup company – Orion Span aimed at lofting its amazing invention by the end of 2021 to receive reservations for accommodating guests by 2022.
Orion Span introduced the first ever luxurious hotel to be located in the space, today in San Jose, during the Space 2.0 Summit. The invention is being listed right after the recent magical light phenomenon, in which people could see the illuminating Earth’s polar skies.
The founder and chief executive officer of Orion Span, Frank Bunger said in a statement that, “We developed Aurora Station to provide a turnkey destination in space. Upon launch, Aurora Station goes into service immediately, bringing travelers into space quicker and at a lower price point than ever seen before, while still providing an unforgettable experience. Orion Span has additionally taken what was historically a 24-month training regimen to prepare travelers to visit a space station and streamlined it to three months, at a fraction of the cost.”
Aurora Station is currently under development guided by the team of expertise space industry veterans at the company Orion Span, holding more than 140 years of experience in human space. The tour will be for 12 days that will cost $9.5 M each person, while the deposit has been set as $80,000 each traveler.
Bunger continued that, “Aurora Station is incredibly versatile and has multiple uses beyond serving as a hotel. We will offer full charters to space agencies who are looking to achieve human spaceflight in orbit for a fraction of the cost – and only pay for what they use. We will support zero gravity research, as well as in space manufacturing.”
