President Trump Will Recognize Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel and Move US Embassy to Jerusalem

On Wednesday, U.S. President Donald Trump is going to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and direct the US State Department to initiate the process to shift the US embassy to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv, said senior administration officials.

Trump’s this major decision is already getting cheered by supporters of the President as well as Israeli government. the is expected to be roiling he region along with the warnings by US Arab allies on Tuesday to the President that it may undermine the regional stability and impede the peace process among the Palestinians and Israel.

A senior administration official said in a statement that, “It seems clear now that the physical location of the American embassy is not material to a peace deal. It’s not an impediment to peace and it’s not a facilitator to peace. After having tried this for 22 years, an acknowledgment of reality seems like an important thing.”

The President will sign renunciation postponing the embassy move up to another six months to obey with the law, which will take years for the action to completed, according to the statement given by the senior administration officials.

Another senior official from the administration said that “came to the judgment that this was both the right time and the right step to take specifically with respect to his hopes that a peace can be achieved, but offered no further specifics.”

The senior administrators sourced that Trump will reaffirm that he is ready to support the solution for two states for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, if both of the sides agree to such a contract.
