2017 Christmas Celebration at White House, Trump Swore to End the ‘War on Christmas’

The glitter of the Christmas holiday season meets the White House every year, but more than the decked halls and twinkling lights, the most sparkling thing is that, this year the US president Donald Trump had vowed the country to send the discerned war, as being a candidate on campaign trail.

Last year Trump said that, “You go to stores; you don’t see the word Christmas. It says ‘happy holidays’ all over. I say, ‘Where’s Christmas?’ I tell my wife, ‘Don’t go to those stores.’. . . I want to see Christmas.”

However, Melania Trump appeared to be noting cues from such great desire of her husband about the traditional notion for Christmas when she disclosed the Christmas holiday decorations on Monday. The house was all drenched with an extra modicum of Trump-style cheer.

The theme of the year is credited to Trump, i.e. ‘Time-Honored Traditions’, which is intended as homage for 200 years of the White House holiday customs.

The red room included a little Christmas tree and several decorations made up of holiday candies and treats. The first lady, Melania Trump sat with kids from the Joint Base Andrews for making the holiday decorations using gumdrops.

The adorable decoration included 71 Christmas wreaths, 53 Christmas trees, more than around 12,000 ornaments as well as the eye catching, 200 pounds gingerbread reproduction of the White House

A statement by a press release from the White House says that, “Throughout the month of December, the White House will host more than 100 open houses and many receptions. More than 25,000 visitors will walk the halls taking part in public tours.”
