It is disclosed in the published paper by the British Medical Journal (BMJ), that the Type 2 diabetes can be cured if the patient gets shed about 15kg. Also the study revealed by the Glasgow University has called for more awareness about the Type 2 diabetes that it not incurable.
Currently, Type 2 diabetes affects about 5 to 10 percent of the population of the United Kingdom along with the 254,000 are suffering in the Scotland.
Mike Lean, a professor from Human Nutrition Section of the University of Glasgow said that, 488 numbers of various drugs are licensed currently over the world to cure the type 2 diabetes by decreasing the glucose levels in the blood.
Mike Lean said in his statement that, “They are not treating the disease process, and are missing the point. Not only is type 2 diabetes preventable by not getting fat in the first place, but as long as you get in early after the disease is established – in the first five years or so – you have a better than even chance of becoming non-diabetic. Not all can do it, but they should all be given the chance with good support. Lean writes. Taking tablets or injections for life to reduce blood sugar is a poor second rate treatment.”
Lean with his co-authors have also advocated the community of medicines for developing the guidelines to test distinguish again the people diagnosed positively with the Type 2 diabetes but their measures of the metabolism are turned to the better healthy levels.
