Donald Trump Jr. said yesterday, he is ready to be a witness under oath regarding his election-year meeting with a Russian lawyer who gave compromising information about Hillary Clinton.

“And you have nothing to hide,” asked the host Sean Hannity, Fox News told Trump Jr. during an interview on Tuesday night. “That means you agree to give evidence under oath?”

“All of it,” responded Trump Jr.

Lawmakers investigating the meddling of Russian election are anticipated to ask President Trump’s eldest son to provide evidence about his meeting with lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya on June 2016 who has close ties to the Kremlin.

Trump Jr earlier said he was prepared to cooperate with the probe, but did not say if he would offer under penalty of perjury.

There were a chain of emails exchanged with intermediary from Trump Jr as he was setting the meeting and he disclosed indicating clearly that he was ready to accept the damaging information about the campaign from a longtime adversary of the United States, Russia.

Trump Jr. was firm and said the meeting gave no information of dirt on Clinton. But President Trump’s eldest son informed the meeting “went nowhere and it was clear that it was not what the meeting was actually about.”

“I may not even have recollected it until you have actually started scouring through this stuff. It was literally a mere 20 minutes of waste of time, which was a shame,” he said.

In the interview, Trump Jr. protected his father, saying he did not inform him about the meeting. He plainly said, ‘There was nothing to tell’.
