2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt is Now Available for Order

2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt is now available for order books, Ford announced the news. Ford introduced the car at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year alongside the actual 1968 Mustang Fastback used in the classic Steve McQueen movie.

Pricing of the car will start at $46,595, including $900 for the destination, Ford announced on Thursday to mark the opening of order books around the United States. The pricing of the revived Mustang Bullitt is significantly more expensive than the $36,090 starting price for the standard Mustang GT fastback.

The 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt promises output at exactly 480 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque on 93-octane fuel. Buyers can enjoy a top speed of 163 mph which is an increase of 8 mph over the standard GT which makes 460 hp. The Bullitt includes intake manifold from the Shelby GT350, specific ECU calibrations, an active quad-tip exhaust system finished in black NitroPlate, an open air intake, and larger throttle body.

At the exterior, the Bullit features Torq-Thrust-inspired 19-inch five-spoke aluminum wheels in black and red Brembo brakes as well as a black grille, chrome accents on the grille and front windows. Customers of the Bullit will get the exterior color options either a Shadow Black or classic Dark Highland Green paint job.

Inside the cabin, the car features loads of leather and green stitching throughout the cabin, door panels, a classic cue ball shifter, center console, and 12-inch digital LCD instrument cluster.

The limited-edition celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Steve McQueen movie Bullitt with this 2019 Mustang Bullitt.
