Moto X Play

It is almost two months since Moto Z and Moto G to get Android 7.0 Nougat update, and now the eyeballs are circling Moto Z Play. Though Motorola has yet not confirmed which of its handsets are going to upgrade with the new Operating System of Google next. However, without any official confirmation, the Moto X Play running on Android 7.1 Nougat has been spotted on the list of the Chinese Microblogging site GFXbench. The new leaked listing is now hinting the model to get the update for new OS soon.

Back in October, Motorola has announced its 15 smartphones to get Nougat updates in Quarter 4 of 2016. However, till now, four smartphones including Moto G4, G4 Plus, Moto Z and Moto Z Force are only privileged with the latest OS of Google. And till now, Motorola hasn’t given any statement about the upgrade of other devices yet. But now, the GFXBench listing revealed the Motorola Moto X Play to get the Android 7.1 Nougat update soon.

Moto X Play running on Android 7

To recall, Android 7.1 Nougat is the upgraded version of Google’s latest Operating System, Android 7.0 Nougat. The new version of Nougat rolled out to Google’s Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones on 4th September. Among other smartphones, the models like Nexus 9, Pixel tablet, Nexus Player Pixel, Pixel XL, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, and General Mobile 4G (Android One) are also gifted with the upgraded version of Nougat OS. But till now, no other branded smartphones has been confirmed to get it. But now, it seems like Motorola will leave out the Android 7.0 for Moto X Play and will push the update to Android 7.1 directly.

If rumours become true, the Moto X Play will get access to many high-end and advanced features that are bundled with the Android 7.1 Nougat. With the new OS, the Moto X Play will be facilitated with the features like shortcuts for the app, reset key, smart storage facility, a new camera application, fresh emojis, support tab, and moves menu.

To summon up, Motorola Moto X Play was launched in September 2015. The smartphone was packed with multiple ultra-modern features like 5.5-inch IPS LCD Screen (1080 x 1920 pixels), Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 processor, 16/32 GB ROM, 2 GB RAM, 21MP rear and 5MP front shooter, 3630 mAh battery, and Splash and dust resistant features.

However, Motorola hasn’t confirmed the update of Nougat 7.1 on Moto X Play till now!
