Following the launch of Ultra50 back in October, Videocon has added a new flagship to its existing portfolio today. Today, at an official event, Videocon has launched its latest 4G VoLTE-enabled smartphone Videocon Ultra30 for its home-grown market. Much like its ancestor model, Videocon Ultra30 is also paired with affordable price tag and massive battery with 4G connectivity support. The introductory price of the Videocon Ultra30 is tagged with of Rs. 8, 590. For now, the handset is exclusive to e-commerce retailer Snapdeal and is expected to hit other retail outlets soon.
As far as the specs of this latest smartphone of Videocon are concerned, it is one of the highly advanced mid-range smartphones of India. Measuring 144×73.8×9.8mm, and weighing 166.5g, Videocon Ultra30 is packed with a 5-inch HD IPS screen with the display resolution of 720×1280. In addition, the display is also integrated with MiraVision and DragontrailX 2.5D curved glass for better clarity and protection.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by a 64-bit 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor and is running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. In the storage part, the phone features 3GB RAM and 32GB of onboard storage, which is further expandable up to 64GB via microSD card. As the optical department of Videocon Ultra30 is concerned, the phone is enriched with a 13-megapixel primary snapper accompanied by a dual-LED flash, PDAF, and Gorilla Glass lens. The front panel of the phone features a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter with LED flash. Moreover, the rear camera is also integrated with Smart Wide Dynamic View (SWDR) and ISOCELL technology which will enable the phone to click wide angled panoramic pictures and clear snaps in low light areas.
The connectivity part of the phone includes a range of standard features like Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 4G VoLTE, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, and FM radio. Among other pre-installed applications, the phone is packed with the apps like SOS-be-safe, dual WhatsApp, and gesture controls. The phone is also pre-loaded with ErosNow app where users can browse more than 3000 movies and music at free of cost for one year.
With the only Blue Gold colour variant, Videocon Ultra30 is intended to allow shoppers to enjoy a high-end 4G smartphone at less price.
