UPDATE: Flipkart has confirmed that OnePlus 3 will be presented during its “Big Shopping Day Sale” only at Rs. 18,999, which is Rs. 9,000 lower than the price of Amazon India. However, apart from the detailed advertisement of Flipkart, the confusion about the availability of OnePlus 3 is still going on, as the phone is tagged with a jingle “Out Of Stock”.
Flipkart’s Big Shopping Day Sale, which was started yesterday, presented many discounted sales and gadgets with marked down price tag. However, aside from all those sales, the Flipkart has amused its shoppers with the banner of selling the OnePlus 3 smartphone with a hefty discount during its big day sale. But unexpectedly, the banner and advertisement of Flipkart have come up with a great surprise, as the CEO of OnePlus tweeted asking ‘how Flipkart can sale OnePlus 3 as the model is exclusive to Amazon”.
While the shoppers of Flipkart are eagerly waiting to grab the premium OnePlus 3 at a discounted price range, the CEO and Co-Founder of OnePlus, Carl Pei has taken to Twitter to express his surprise as the brand is exclusive to Amazon India.
OnePlus is carrying on with a legal pact with Amazon India for selling its handsets only via the retail outlets of Amazon. Not to my surprise, OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei seems not to be so much pleased with this promotion.
As mentioned above, the teaser of OnePlus 3 sale on Flipkart’s Big Shopping Day Sale has come up with a big surprise for the owner of OnePlus. To confirm this news, OnePlus Co-Founder Carl Pei too, tweeted to the Executive Chairman and Co-Founder of Flipkart, Mr. Sachin Bansal, questioning – “Brother, What’s this? We’re exclusive with Amazon.”

Currently, OnePlus 3 is being presented on Amazon with the price tag of Rs. 27, 999. While Flipkart has released a teaser according to which, “the same model has been labelled with less than Rs 20,000. On the homepage of Flipkart’s OnePlus 3 teaser, the 64GB Soft Gold variant of OnePlus 3 is listed as ‘arriving shortly, with the price tag of Rs. 27,999. Simultaneously, it also has mentioned a sub-Rs. 20,000 price tag in the teaser which is expected to be the price after exchange discounts or cash back.”
Till now, the Indian e-commerce retails executive hasn’t tweeted back to the question of Carl Pei and hence the market is still in doubt if the teaser published on Flipkart’s website is genuine or hoax.
