Xiaomi has revealed the launch of Xiaomi Mi 5 flagship phone in the black colour variant on Friday at 10 a.m. exclusively via Amazon and Flipkart at a price tag of Rs 24,999. The device probably will go on sale from today. In a Facebook post, the Chinese tech giant has unleashed the fact that the country might see the Gold colour variant very soon although the confirmed date hasn’t been revealed yet.
Back in March, the smartphone industry launched its Mi 5 flagship in the country. On the specification front, the white colour machine was featured with 3GB RAM in conjunction with 32GB onboard storage.
Xiaomi Mi 5 compacts full-HD 5-inch curved 3D Ceramic Glass display featuring a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels and 428ppi pixel density. The machine seems to be processed by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip clubbed with a massive 3GB RAM. Boosted by a dual-SIM (Nano + Nano), it is featured with Adreno 530 GPU. With a 32GB onboard storage, MI 5 is a non-expandable handset.
On the photography front, the flagship smartphone is installed with a 16MP Sony IMX298 rear camera featuring PDAF (phase detection autofocus), LED flash, 4-axis OIS (optical image stabilisation) and sapphire glass protection lens while the selfie snapper includes 4MP lens in conjunction with 2-micron pixels.
The machine is backed by 3000mAh battery unit boosted by a Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. The Chinese manufacturer claimed the feature to be an upgraded version of its predecessor i.e. Quick Charge 2.0.
On the dimension scale, it measures 144.5×69.2×7.25mm and weighs 129 grams. Features like USB Type-C port, VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/ac, 4G, Bluetooth 4.2, Glonass, and NFC are injected into the connectivity options.
