HTC One M9

Soon after the release of the final console of Android 7.0 Nougat, Google announced HTC 10, HTC One M9, and HTC One A9 to get the update in the fourth quarter. Keeping its promise, Google started sending updates for Android 7.0 Nougat on HTC One M9 model.

HTC via Twitter announced on Tuesday the rollout of Nougat 7.0 on its One M9 model. The company stated that the HTC One M9 unlocked variants have started receiving the updates for the new OS. However, by the end of this month, the update for carrier variants will be rolled out. The update will turn up through an OTA, and if not, users can also manually check for the update by going through the Settings menu.

Android Nougat will enhance multiple systems of the Unlocked HTC One M9. With the new OS, the phone will be backed by an improved battery-saving mode alongside the options of upgraded notifications, tweaked Doze, multi-window, and in-line replies.

Moreover, HTC also announced that carrier models are not likely to receive the newest version of Android OS until the early of next year. However, the rolling out of Android 7.0 Nougat on Unlocked HTC One M9 has made the HTC fans quite excited and the market is expecting the newest version of Android on other HTC devices soon.

Besides, Google yesterday dispatched Android 7.1.1 Nougat on its Pixel and Nexus smartphones. With added improvements and some minor bug fixings, the new version of Android has gone official on Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel C, and most of the Nexus phones.

But till now, the original version of Nougat, the Android 7.0 Nougat has a long way to reach every existing smartphone models. While many smartphone brands are in the queue to get the update for the new OS on their devices like HTC, which has proven to be more privileged, as its One M9 model starts receiving Android 7.0 Nougat Update.
