Elite Dangerous and Planet Coaster revealed “Jurassic World Evolution,” a dinosaur theme park simulation at the Xbox Games compress conference Monday.Coming in summer 2018 to PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One, this Park-building sim is being created by Frontier Developments and will be based on the island from the 2015 movie. Frontier Developments has worked on the Roller Coaster Tycoon series.
Jurassic World Evolution looks like a builder game where, players can build their own Jurassic World theme park with new dinosaur breeds and constructs attractions, containment, and research facilities. That means managing facilities and personnel, trying not to get your attendees killed.
From the looks of the trailer, it could reach the same kind of quality that buildergame like Tropico 5 has achieved with a controller.
“As long-time fans of the entire Jurassic series we’re thrilled to be putting players in charge of their own Jurassic World,” said Frontier exec Jonny Watts. ”Every choice leads to a different path and spectacular challenged arise when ‘life finds a way.’”
They are very excited to bring over 15 years of management, simulation, and creature development expertise to a destination and franchise that remains an inspiration to them.
The goal is to build new attractions, bioengineer new dinosaur breeds, and figure out the best way to keep said dinosaurs away from paying punters.
Jurassic World Evolution should rock consoles and PC around the time the next movie, Jurassic World, Fallen Kingdom, hits theaters.
