It has been around 4 months to Reliance Jio hit the marketplace of India and but till now, the unlimited services of Jio have kept on overwhelming the telecom market and operators. Jio’s wireless 4G service dates back few weeks, and now the company is moving forward to mow down the DTH and Broadband market. As the 4G services of Jio received a mixed response from the subscribers, the company is now simultaneously working on fixing the existing quality of 4G services alongside the new offers and one of these services is 1Gbps wired broadband service.
Though, Reliance hasn’t yet announced any particular launch date for the rollout of 1Gbps wired broadband services but is expected to launch in the mid of 2017. As per the sources, Reliance has already started the rollout the testing of its new DTH and Broadband services in some selected cities of India and soon is going to make it official for all the cities.
According to the latest reports, Reliance has been centering on the improvement of the existing fiber optic cable across many parts of the nation and hence is gearing up to launch high-speed broadband solutions. With the Fiber To The Home (FTTH) services, Reliance is said to offer 1 Gbps broadband internet across India. Along with the introduction of 1GB wired broadband, Reliance will add Fiber To The Home (FTTH) and more services to its My Jio app.
Apart from the FTTH service, Jio is also rumoured to bring a new app called ‘Jio MediaShare’ which is currently in the pipeline. As the title of the app hints, it will enable users to share media files across devices. As per the reports, Jio MediaShare app will allocate the Jio users to connect with four devices, which are likely to be TV, laptops, desktop and smartphones. The service is also said to allow the option of a real-time switch from one device to other without losing the transfer progression.
However, Reliance is yet to announce the official launch date for both services, and we can expect their arrival within 6-7 months.
